A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Dr. Arthur Anderson, learned to play tennis when he was 12 years old and eventually started playing tournaments at the age of 16. After graduating high school, he attended Western Kentucky University where he was a member of the men's tennis team and earned his BS degree in Public Relations and Biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville. While there, he served as Class President and received the Outstanding Graduating Student Award from the U of L Faculty. Following graduation, he practiced as a general dentist for two years before returning to graduate studies at the University of Manitoba where he earned his Certificate of Orthodontics and Masters of Science degree. Following graduation, he moved to Nashville, TN where he has resided since 1991. He has continued to enjoy instructing and playing tennis competitively at the local, state and sectional levels for years. He has had the opportunity to represented Tennessee as a member of the Senior Cup Team on several occasions. In addition to his own tennis, he has a passion for youth development in the sport. He became a board member of the Tennessee Tennis Patrons Foundation in 2013.
