Rogers McCall served as the President of the National Junior Tennis League of Bristol, Tennessee from 1974-2018. The NJTL of Bristol has served over 9000 youth with free or low-cost tennis programming at the Ida Jones Tennis Center where McCall also volunteers. In 1991, McCall helped found the Mountain Empire Tennis Association to increase local participation in the game of tennis. He has been active in the Tennessee Tennis Association and the USTA National, Southern, and Bristol organizations since 1974. McCall points to Len Hoad as a mentor in his association with tennis. One of his favorite tennis memories has been teaching his daughters to play and he still enjoys competing with them on the court. McCall cites the camaraderie among players and the ability to serve others as the most important aspects of tennis for him. Rogers McCall earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University in 1973. He served eight years in the U.S. Army. McCall practiced law in the Bristol, Tennessee area for over forty years. He retired in 2018 and currently lives in Bristol, Tennessee.
